    THE SPIRIT OF THE CELTS

Who knows what my poor eyes have seen
Or how my heart does now keen
    Oh proud and noble race
    My tears will not erase
Lands, loves and lives now lost to you
But I have felt your sorrow too

Young highlanders marched off to war
They left their youth on Culloden Moor
They said it was the end of the clans that day
But it was not the end of the celtic way

    Chorus
The Spirit of the Celts-The Spirit of the Celts
The Spirit of the Celts is alive and well
Culloden Moor listen to the tale I tell
The Spirit of the Clans is alive and well
Kinsale listen to the tale I tell
The Spirit of the Clans is alive and well
The Spirit of the Celts-The Spirit of the Celts
The Spirit of the Celts is alive and well

Brave Irishmen too were said to fail
When lead by the earls into Kinsale
They said it was the end of the Clans that day
But it was not the end of the Celtic way

Lands, loves and lives were indeed the cost
But the Celts in the end have in no way lost
The blood in my veins I am proud to say
Richly steeped in the Celtic way
